ROUTINE WASTE MANAGEMENT

Good morning friends,

Your nature lover friend is back.

Today I am going to share one of the small practice adopted by me and my family in favour of environment. It may seem to be very small practice but may give a big change if adopted by mass.

Management of routine waste

First lets think type of waste at a small household during its common daily routine. Now a days in India Government or other institutions are focusing on arrangement of household waste. They mainly suggest to keep to type of dustbins one for Dry waste and second for wet kitchen waste. But in my home we keep four type of bags:
1) Plastic bags and food wrappers like chips, biscuit, namkeen, flour, medicine etc. This I have planned to collect for 6 months and finally I will take it to recycling center. So that it would not be part of land spoiling.
2) Papers like newspaper, study papers, Juice paper cans after taking its plastic cap out etc. Like plastic this will also be given for recycling.
3) Kitchen waste:
  • Tea remain I directly pour in my plants pot as it works like fertilizer.
  • Vegetable and fruits peel are kept in separate bag which I give to my milk man for his cattle food.
  • Leftover cooked food I keep in a pot and give it to the animals roaming around.
Overall with this practice I feel in spite of using plastic bags I will not harm to the environment to the same extent.

CHANGE A HABIT- DO NOT THROW FRUIT SEEDS AFTER EAT

Hi Friends, I am sharing about a small habit change of throwing fruits seeds. Method No 1 Dry the seeds of any fruits and store it . Take it with you while you travel and throw it in the sides of roads. If 10% of seeds gets sprouted. This will be a huge contribution of yours for your next generation and nature. Method No 2 Another practice, you can keep the seed in your home garden and when your seed converts into seedling take it out and sow it to other place like road sides, forest areas, outside of your home etc. Method No 3 SEED BALL  In this method you have to keep the dried seed into mud balls and make it dry. Store it and throw it at the road sides during rainy seasons. https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B076J72CKD/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=3638&creative=24630&creativeASIN=B076J72CKD&linkCode=as2&tag=richlife247-21&linkId=d9b6ef82364cbb0fafcdd6b6e292f971    SAVE AND CARE ABOUT YOUR PRESENT. TIME TO MAKE OUR KIDS ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY

Hello friends, Your friend Garima is here to discuss about need of the era and the environment. Through this blog I am just trying to express my concern about the next generation. For me my next generation is my daughter (Mishti). She is only two years old now but seeing the surrounding burst of nature is making me worry to think about my existance. I am a development professional and also having some experience in working with natural resources. It may be one of cause of my concern and bond with environment.  This blog is my small effort to share some small ways which can be adopted by our kids in day to day life.
